STAGE ONE OVARIAN CANCER

Actualy,what exactly cause ovarian cancer is still unknown.The disease is known as "silent  killer" because  the symptoms are vague and similar to many other more common condition .Body discomfort ,indigestion,bloating and constipation are frequently experienced for sometime before diagnosis is made.The reason for this is that the ovaries lie deep in the region below abdomen and can grow to be quite large before apatient will become aware of them.There are  four serious stage in which ovarian cancer develop.Stage 1 ovarian cancer means the cancer is only in the ovaries.It is divided into three substages.These are stage 1a=the cancer is contained inside one ovary,stage 1b= the cancer is contained inside both ovary,stage 1c,=1a or 1b and either there is some cancer on the surface of at least one ovary or cancer cells are found in fluid taken from inside your abdomen during surgery or the ovary ruptures(bursts)before or during surgery.

 

 


 STAGE TWO OVARIAN CANCER

Patients diagnosed with stage II ovarian  cancer have cancer that is limited to the ovaries and other pelvic organs but has not spread to the upper abdomen,lymph nodes or sites outside the abdomen.Stage 2 can be subdivided into the following.Stage 2 cancer can be stage  2a =the cancer has spread into the fallopian tubes or the uterus,stage 2b=the cancer has grown into other tissues in the pelvis (for example the bladder or rectum),stage 2c=2a or 2b and either there is some cancer on the surface of at least one or cancer cells are found in fluid taken from inside your abdomen during surgery or the ovary rupture (bursts)before or during surgery.

 

 




STAGE THREE OVARIAN CANCER

If the ovarian cancer has gone undiagnosed to the extent that it has gone untreated before it has reached stage three of its development ,then the cancer sufferer is facing along and rocky road to recovery.Stage three ovarian cancer indicates the following complication are present.stage 3 cancer of the ovary means the cancer has spread outside the lower region of the abdomen  into the abdomenal cavity.Your  cancer is also stage 3 if cancer is found in the lymph nodes in the upper abdomen, behind the uterus .So stage 3 cancer can be stage 3a=cancer can be  under the microscope in tissue taken from the lining of the abdomen  or  the omentum (afatty layer over the top of the intestine),stage 3b= there are tumour growths 2cm or smaller on the lining(cover) of the abdomen,stage 3c= there are tumour  growths larger than 2cm on the lining of the abdomen;the lympy nodes in the upper abdomen, behind the uterus contain cancer.  



 




STAGE FOUR OVARIAN CANCER

Patients diagnosed with stage IV the cancer has spread into other body organs such as the liver or lungs.If the cancer is on the surface of the liver but not within the liver itself,then the cancer is regarded as stage 3.
