POSITION OF OVARY
The position of ovary is ,however, extremely variable ,and it is often found hanging down in the rectouterine pouch (space betweem uterus and end part of large intestine).During pregnancy the enlarging uterus pulls the ovary up into the abdominal cavity.After childbirth ,when the broad ligament is not tight,the ovary takes up avariable position in the lower part of abdomen .Before puberty the ovary is smooth,but after puberty the ovary becomes progressively scarred and Women after menopause(after stop of menustraul cycle) their ovary becomes collapsed and its surface is pitted with scars.
