Germ cell are the cells that usually form eggs.Most germ cell tumors are non-cancerous,although some are cancerous and may be life threatening.About 5% of ovarian cancers are germ cell tumors.There are different subtypes of germ cell tumors.Egg cell tumors start from the cells that produce the eggs.
